Ke$ha: Gearing Up for an “Absolutely Crazy” 2012
This past year is definitely one she’ll never forget, but now Ke$ha is excited about what’s to come in 2012.
As the “Animal” singer continues to work on her new album, she recently told MTV News, “I very much want to be seen as a strong woman, but I realize that vulnerability can also be a strength. So on my next record, you are going to hear probably a little more of that. I’m not going to make an acoustic, sad entire record.”
As for the progress of her record, she continued, “I’ve been writing but I haven’t gone in with [producer Dr. Luke] yet. He’s working on stuff and I’m working on stuff for it. But [to] actually start, we go into the studio in January, early January.”
“I feel like I don’t necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music,” she declared. “That’s the goal. We’ll see what happens. That’s a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that’s my goal,” the punk-rock pop star added.
Selena Gomez called into Z104.8 recently where she discussed boyfriend Justin Bieber.
When asked how she copes with Justin’s fans that openly hate her because she has taken the Biebs off the dating market, here is how Selena responded:
“It’s a little odd, but I mean I understand it completely. That’s amazing to me is to see how many passionate fans there are. So obviously you’ve just got to think of the fans first, and that’s okay.”
Now that is a good girlfriend!
Gomez also added that it’s okay the two fan groups don’t have to overlap: “It’s kind of cool we have our own individuals.”

Matchmaker Says Katy Perry ‘Needs to Jump Right Back into Dating’
Although Katy appears to be moving on quickly, celebrity matchmaker Samantha Daniels believes the “Fireworks” singer needs to move on and immediately jump back into the dating game. “I always think it’s good to jump right back into dating so that a newly single person can realize that there are other people out there to be with, when the time is right,” Daniels told Celebuzz.
What advice would you give Katy, if she came to you looking for love?
“I would say, ‘Think about being with someone who is outside of the entertainment industry but who is successful in his own right as well.’ Sometimes when two people are in the spotlight, there is too much competition; it might be better to choose a lower-key man who will be happy letting her get all the attention… She needs a non-celebrity, successful man who is secure in himself and is happy to let her have the spotlight. He would be very mature to ground her a bit, and he would also be protective of her so she will feel loved.”
From what you can tell, why didn’t she and Russell Brand work out?
“Perhaps their personalities were too similar, and they both needed too much attention. Additionally, they didn’t know each other very long before they got married so they didn’t really have the time to learn about each other and grow the relationship together.”
What can Katy learn from her marriage to take into her new dating life?
“Relationships are hard work, so you need to really focus and make it a priority regardless of what is going on in one’s career. Sometimes it’s better to take things slowly so you can figure out what really works. A good relationship rule of the thumb is to be with someone all four seasons (winter, spring, summer and fall) before you decide if the relationship is for keeps.”
Overall in your business, what is the #1 dating mistake women make when re-entering the dating world?
They jump into the first relationship that comes their way because they don’t want to be alone instead of taking the time to date, get to know people and choose the “right one.”
Katy Perry’s Hot New Year’s Eve Date After Russell Brand Split
The superstar didn’t let husband Russell Brand’s divorce filing stop her from celebrating, and she spent the night dancing and laughing with friends.
One spy told Page Six, “Katy was in a private room with a group and she seemed to be in a great mood. She spent most of the night dancing and laughing with friends.
The spy added that Perry looked so carefree that, “One wouldn’t have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce. At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against wall.
Brand filed divorce papers in Los Angeles last Friday after just 14 months of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” They spent the holidays thousands of miles apart and were both photographed without wedding rings.
It was reported that their split came after a series of rows and over Brand’s frustration at 27-year-old Perry’s refusal to put motherhood ahead of her career. The Daily Mail reported that Brand, 36, wanted to start a family, while Perry, who has just completed a yearlong tour, was not “prepared to give that (her career) up and give time to the marriage.”

Miley Cyrus got her PDA on with her (shirtless!) boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, Thursday afternoon in Hawaii, where the couple was spotted taking some personal photos together on a nearby rock.
Miley wore a black t-shirt and some barely-there cutoff jean shorts, while hottie Liam wore nothing but a pair of board shorts and sunglasses. Nothing wrong with that at all!
Miley, who referred to herself as “the best gf ever” today on Twitter, reunited with Liam this year after the couple split in August, 2010. They’ll each appear in their own movies next year, in LOL and The Hunger Games, respectively.
